Anne Frank was a Jewish girl. She was born in Frankfurt on June 12, 1929. She had 4 members in her family (including her). Her mom Edith frank, her dad Otto frank, and her older sister Margot. Some things she loves to do are playing hide and seek, ice skating, and going to the movies. She really liked to go to school. Her favorite thing to do was writing stories. But in 1933 the Nazis came to power. They had a horrible leader named Adolf Hitler. Something bad happened on May 10th, 1940 when the Nazis took over the Netherlands. Anne had to escape. The Franks tried to go to the United States but they had to fill out a lot of forms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The only thing left to do was go into hiding. So they went to Anne\u2019s dads office. The top of the office has a bookshelf at the top that opens and leads to the roof. It has a living room, a bedroom, a bathroom, and a kitchen. One fact is that no one was allowed to flush the toilet during the day because if they did the Nazis might find them. There also was another family hiding with them. They were The Van Pels. They had a son named peter. There was also another person hiding with them. Dr. Fritz Pfeiffer. Since they couldn\u2019t go to school, they had to study at home until 12:30 and after that they had to peel potatoes. Only on the weekends can they listen to the radio. When 8 people were crammed in one little tiny annex, Anne would go to the attic. It was her favorite spot. She would look at the chestnut tree from the attic window. She thought it looked beautiful. They lived in the annex for 2 years and 1 month. But in 1944, they were found by the Nazis. Everyone got sent to where all the other jews were sent. Then in 1945 Anne and Margot were sent to Bergen Belsen <\/strong>concentration camp. Sadly they died because of typhus fever. In 1945 when world war 2 ended,Otto Frank was the only one who survived. He published Anne\u2019s diary. Now it\u2019s translated to 70 languages.
